Everyone has unique needs and often a combination of products can provide the most benefits. Please consult your doctor before adding any supplement to your diet, especially if you have a medical condition or take prescription medication.

Tinctures

Tinctures are the most common CBD product on the market. Oil based tinctures can be used orally while alcohol and water-based tinctures are meant to be added to a beverage or diluted. MCT oil-based tinctures are most common. CBD and other beneficial compounds in these tinctures can be absorbed into your bloodstream while held under the tongue so for best results, hold for at least 60 seconds.

Softgels & Edibles

Softgels and edibles containing CBD can be taken orally. Softgels are a good option for those sensitive to taste and smell. Edibles such as gummy candy and chocolates are becoming more and more popular as a novel way to add CBD to your diet. Due to full and broad spectrum oils having more of a taste, many edibles use CBD isolate.

One downside of both softgels and edibles is that a higher daily dose is needed because when CBD passes through the digestive tract, much of it will be broken down before it can be absorbed into the bloodstream. Softgels are more likely to contain a full or broad spectrum hemp oil which has more potential benefits than CBD isolate. With edibles, like tinctures, the longer it is in your mouth, the more CBD can be absorbed into the bloodstream before passing through the digestive tract.

Topicals

Topicals are a great option for those who want a more targeted application, such as sore and inflamed joints. Topicals should never be applied to an open wound. Topicals are not the same as transdermal applications and are not meant to enter the bloodstream. Due to this, many CBD users utilize topical CBD products in combinations with other routes of administration. Topicals can range from being simple to having a wide range of other beneficial ingredients.

Isolate Powders

CBD isolate can be sold on its own, and a good option for those with unique needs. CBD isolate is versatile and can be added to a host of applications. It can be mixed in or added to food and drink, e-cigarette liquids, skincare products, beauty products, and more.

Vapes/ Concentrates/Smokable Flower

When it comes to CBD and other cannabinoids, inhalation is one of the most bio-available routes of administration. Through your lungs, CBD easily and quickly enters the blood stream and can be felt within minutes. CBD vape cartridges and e-juice are popular and widely available. THC-free CBD concentrates can be smoked in a variety of ways, such as using a water pipe or dab rig. Smokable flower is just the actual flower of the hemp plant, dried and cured. This can be smoked from a pipe, rolled into cigarettes or joints. Smokable flower is the best bet for those seeking the entourage affect because it is the least processed.
